Revenue have issues the latest below in relation to PPS number and how it is linked to the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP)
Personal Public Service Number – PPS Number
Tax and Duty Manual Part 37-00-07b on the Personal Public Service (PPS) number has been updated to reflect the fact that Revenue’s PPS number records must align with those of the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP).
The DEASP is responsible for managing the PPS number and maintaining the related public service identity data. Any changes to an individual’s public service identity data, for example a change of name, should first be updated on the DEASP records, and can then be updated on Revenue’s records.
