Beware of particular emails looking like they are being sent from Revenue, and offering you a refund.  The emails will look something like below:

Phishing emails have unusual looking domain names, i.e. the part of the email address after the “@” sign (illustrated below).

There are also other tell tale signs of a “phishing” email.  When you mouse over (don’t click) the links, the popup tool tip will show the destination to be an unrelated website:

You should let your IT dept know if these get through to your inbox and like any emails offering refunds, or prizes or massive discounts, if you think it is too good to be true, it almost always is.

In order to protect your computer and data, never click links in suspicious emails.
